Obstruction Inside Your Drain? Here's How We Clear It
Some obstructions, such as protruding connections, hardened deposits, or root masses, can't be cleared with jetting alone and would otherwise mean excavating the pipe. Robotic cutting removes them from inside the drain instead.
Our engineers will insert a remote-controlled cutting unit into the line, working from a live camera feed to precisely remove the obstruction without damaging the surrounding pipe. We'll flush the line afterwards to confirm flow is fully restored.

Our robotic cutting treatment process
Step 1 Contact
Contact us when CCTV has identified a hard obstruction, protruding connection, concrete or other material that cannot be safely removed by normal cleaning methods. If you already have survey footage, provide it with the pipe diameter and access information where known. Otherwise, we can investigate the line before specifying robotic work.
Step 2 Quote
We confirm the obstruction's exact position, dimensions and relationship to the pipe wall, together with pipe material, diameter and suitable access points. This allows us to determine whether robotic cutting is appropriate and how the debris will be managed. The quotation sets out the targeted cutting operation and any cleaning or verification required.
Step 3 Works
The robotic unit is introduced through a suitable access point and positioned at the defect using live camera guidance. The operator removes the obstruction in a controlled manner, working locally to restore the internal profile while protecting serviceable pipework. Released material is managed and the line is cleaned as required so flow is not left restricted.
Step 4 After care
Following cutting, the treated section is visually checked to confirm the obstruction has been removed to the required extent and the drain has a usable flow path. We report any pipe damage revealed once the obstruction is gone and, if necessary, recommend a separate patch, lining or structural repair rather than leaving a newly exposed defect untreated.
