Our root-damaged pipe repairs treatment process
Step 1 Contact
Tell us about recurring blockages, slow flow, CCTV evidence of roots or nearby trees and vegetation that may be affecting the drain. We establish whether the immediate priority is restoring flow, investigating structural damage or both, then arrange an appropriate inspection rather than treating repeat root growth as a simple blockage.
Step 2 Quote
CCTV inspection is used where required to establish where roots are entering, how extensive the intrusion is and whether the pipe or joint has cracked, displaced or deteriorated. We then recommend a repair strategy that addresses the access point as well as the roots, with a quotation covering clearance, repair and any relevant verification.
Step 3 Works
Specialist equipment is used to clear intrusive roots and recover the usable bore of the pipe. Once the affected area is properly prepared, the underlying defect is repaired using the method suited to its condition—such as a localised repair or, where damage is too severe, excavation and replacement. The goal is to stop the same opening simply admitting new growth.
Step 4 After care
We check that the drain is flowing freely and, where appropriate, inspect the repaired section to confirm the root mass has been removed and the entry defect treated. We explain whether surrounding sections show further vulnerability and can recommend periodic CCTV checks or maintenance where mature vegetation or older pipework creates an ongoing risk.
